Hey.....Ok so uni is over and I am allowed into the world to work which is scary stuff but ah well....*runs out*. I got my results, I think a week ago now *strains to think* and apparently I got a first so i'm happy I guess.....well I think I am o_O.....To be honest I was more happy in getting full marks in a module as that's the only one in the wholeeeeeeee 3 years I actually liked haha....well apart from my dissertation but that doesn't count because I get to chose ^^.

Haven't really been doing a lot of matte painting and space art lately because I feel I need to work on something so I can actually make it for a reason and fit it to a scene (be useful).
I have found a new art style I like so I am learning and developing them at the moment, been on FA ALOT so hence the ghostness on DA ^^ (Don't ask what FA is -_-....you either know the site of you dont).

Oh I don't know if I have said on here before but I am currently planning on moving to Canada for a year and hopefully fffoooorrrreeevvveeerrrr....so that's another thing I have been getting ready....there are soooo many papers >_< but things are moving along ^^

Oh and my website is finally up so companies can finds me more professiuonaky hehe ^^

Anyway hope everyone is well and always glad to talks to peeps :)

Gratz on the first dude, canada sounds like a plan, hope it becomes a reality for you.

Little tip on the problem with peeps stealin ur work, watermark the crap out of it or use DA's standard watermark, gives you at least some protection.

Hope all is well.

Wasting no time moving away from this country, eh? Good to hear it, I want to do the same, but I've got to wait a couple more years! Can I ask what degree you've got?

Would you say that your degree was worth it? I want to go into the CG industry, working in either games or films (not to sure at the moment), but I'm doubting whether or not a degree would be worth it, and if it is, whether or not it is the right degree for me. I don't want to specialise to soon, at the moment I'm drawn towards being an environment artist on games, but I know that could change at anytime. Therefore it's hard for me to know which course to enroll on. Any advice would be appreciated :)

i would say yes because a lot of companies require it or look for some sort of degree.....its a good chance to get your portfolio up plus you get good connections in uni :). I am also an environmental artist as well so its nice to know someone else who likes the field hehe

I don't really know what i can help on hehe

Yea, I read about Bournemouth over at CG Talk, and I found out that they have regular talks from industry folk, from places such as ILM and Pixar! I even heard one story about how a student at Bournemouth went to the pub with one of the speakers and got himself a job out of it! Coupled with the fact that a degree will really help with getting a green card, I've decided to get into crap loads of debt and head off to Uni! Thanks again for your help :)
